1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They help sites remember your preferences, understand how they are used, and deliver advertising. A cookie does not contain code and cannot access your device. Some "cookies" are also stored as browser local storage; this policy covers both.

Images are never stored in cookies. FaviconX processes favicon images entirely in your browser, and no image data is ever written to a cookie or transmitted to our servers.

2. Cookies we use

Cookie / storageTypePurposeDuration
faviconforge_cookie_consent Essential Remembers your cookie choices so we don't show the consent banner again. Also stored in localStorage. 1 year
Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) Analytics (optional) Aggregate, anonymized traffic statistics. Loaded only after you accept the consent banner. Up to 2 years
Google AdSense / ad-serving cookies Advertising (optional) Serve and measure ads on this site. Third-party vendors use cookies to build interest profiles for personalized ads. Managed by Google

3. Analytics

We may use Google Analytics, loaded only with your consent, to understand aggregate traffic (pages visited, referrers, approximate location). IP anonymization is enabled, and analytics data cannot be linked to your favicon usage, which never leaves your browser.

4. Advertising

This site is supported by advertising. Google AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. To opt out of personalized advertising from Google, visit Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of many third-party advertising cookies at www.aboutads.info.

5. Managing cookies

You control cookies in several ways:

  • Consent banner: accept or decline non-essential cookies when the banner appears. You can clear your stored choice at any time by clearing the faviconforge_cookie_consent value in your browser's storage settings.
  • Browser settings: block or delete cookies for individual sites or all sites via your browser's settings.
  • Opt-out tools: use the Google Ads Settings page above or the industry opt-outs at aboutads.info.

Blocking essential cookies may reduce functionality (for example, we would re-ask your consent on every visit), but the favicon generator itself works without any cookies.

6. Third-party links

Pages may link to external sites, which set their own cookies governed by their own policies. We do not control those cookies.

7. Contact

Questions about cookies: info@faviconx.com or the contact form. See also the Privacy Policy.
