FaviconX ("we", "our" or "us") operates the website at https://www.faviconforge.app. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the site and how it is used. For questions, contact us at info@faviconx.com.
2. Information we do NOT collect
- No uploaded images. The favicon generator runs locally in your browser. No image file you select is uploaded to any server.
- No accounts. We offer no login and store no user profiles.
- No processed favicons. Generated icons, ZIP files and settings are created and downloaded locally.
- No image metadata. We cannot extract or retain EXIF data because we never receive your files.
3. Information we may collect
3.1 Cookies
We use cookies to remember your cookie preferences and to allow third-party services described below to function. No cookie stores or references your images. You can control cookies through our Cookie Policy and the consent banner.
3.2 Analytics
With your consent (via the cookie banner), we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns, such as which pages are visited and approximate geographies. Analytics data is anonymized (IP anonymization is enabled) and is used to improve the site.
3.3 Advertising
This site is supported by advertising, which may be delivered by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. Advertising cookies do not track or process your images — they track standard browser activity such as pages viewed and ad interactions.

3.4 Contact form
If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent to us via Formspree (a no-backend form service). We use these details only to reply to you. Formspree's privacy practices are available at formspree.io/legal/privacy.

6. Data retention
Because we collect almost no personal data, retention is minimal. Contact-form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' retention settings. You can delete all cookies and local storage data through your browser at any time.
7. Third-party links
Guides may link to external sites (hosting providers, design tools, donation services). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
8. Children's privacy
FaviconX is a general-audience site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and because no image data is transmitted, there is no image data at risk in transit. We follow standard security practices for the limited analytics and contact data we handle.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted here.
